Welcome to Human Holistics
Meet Keith Lowenstein
Keith began his study of the mind-body interface in 1971 with extensive training in transcendental meditation and Kriya yoga, an active-minded, breath-based yogic meditation. This work inspired Keith to study medicine, and he went on to become a physician, whose training includes medical acupuncture, cranial osteopathy and other physical modalities, nutrition, and both somatic & psychedelic psychotherapies. Keith has practiced and studied spirituality for most of his life and also holds a Masters of Divinity with an Interfaith focus.
Keith worked in private practice for over 30 years, offering psychiatric care, integrated management of metabolic challenges, psychotherapy, nutritional therapies, mindfulness, auricular acupuncture, and transcranial magnetic stimulation. After teaching Kriya Yoga meditation privately for over 40 years, he expanded his service to include spiritual counseling and holistic, integrative coaching with the goal being transformative change. Keith’s goal is to help others achieve the level of wellness in body, mind, and spirit that they deserve.
Exploring Holistic Health
Today’s healthcare system can sometimes only see the body as a machine, expecting predictive outcomes and standardized processes. This is not always optimal, as we are complex, multi-dimensional beings with a variety of needs, and true holistic wellness relies upon working with the body, mind, and spirit as the integrated whole that it is.
Keith embraces complex systems and how they interact to bring forth new emergent patterns of function. He understands that physical, mental, and spiritual wellness exists on a spectrum that is fluid, rather than fixed. What works for one may not work for another. Coaching is an active and creative process, where our tools are curiosity, compassion, and action. We utilize them to learn, to adapt, to reflect, and to transform. Where traditional medicine often leads to compartmentalizing, holistic coaching helps us to clarify, reconnect, and reintegrate within ourselves.
